We are seeing lots of evidence of both cliff erosion at the Southern end of the Reserve, and accretion on the Northern sandspit, much influenced by the movement of the Waikanae river mouth. In time we hope to have some more accurate data for these changes. There are signs of sand accreting plants like spinifex starting to bring sand together to stabilise the South Spit of the Reserve (May 25)
